一、学校概况Introduction to JSUT

江苏理工学院地处有着3200多年历史的文化古城—江苏省常州市。常州位于长江三角洲中心地带，与上海、南京两大都市等距相望，区位条件优越。这里气候舒适宜人，经济质量优异，社会安宁和谐，交通出行便利，生活环境优美，被评为全国文明城市和中国最具创新力城市。

Jiangsu University of Technology (JSUT) is situated in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, a renowned cultural city in the central region of the Yangtze River Delta with over 3,200 years of history and advantageous location of equidistance from Shanghai and Nanjing.Changzhou boasts pleasant climate, booming economy, social stability and harmony, convenient transportation and beautiful living environment. It is named as “National Civilized City” and “The Most Innovative City in China”.

学校创建于1984年，是硕士学位授予单位、教育部本科教学工作水平评估优秀单位、全国首批职教师资培训重点建设基地和江苏省首批决策咨询研究基地。学校各类校舍建筑面积50余万平方米，现有全日制在校本科生20000余人、硕士研究生900余人、外国留学生学历生（本科生、研究生）100余人，教职工1500余人。开设62个本科专业，招收教育、机械、资源与环境硕士研究生，形成了以工科为主，多学科协调发展的办学格局。

JSUT was brought into existence in 1984. It is the unit for awarding master's degree. It was evaluated with the score of "Excellence" in the undergraduate teaching evaluation implemented by the Ministry of Education. It is also one of the first National Key Vocational Education Construction Bases of Teachers Training, and one of the decision-making consultation research bases for the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. The building area of various school buildings of the school is more than 500000 square meters and has over 20,000 full-time undergraduates, nearly 900 postgraduates,over 100 international students with academic qualifications (undergraduate and graduate students) and about 1,500faculty members. JSUT offers 62 undergraduate majors, and enrolls postgraduate students in majors of Mechanics, Resources & Environment and Education, which forms a distinct pattern of engineering-oriented and multiple discipline coordinated development.

学校大力实施国际化发展战略，积极引进国际先进办学理念、标准和资源，重点打造以中德合作为主的国际合作办学特色，先后与德国、美国、英国、法国、以色列、日本、韩国、哈萨克斯坦等国家，以及澳门、台湾地区的60余所高校建立了紧密的合作与交流关系。目前面向俄罗斯、摩洛哥、南非、印度尼西亚等“一带一路”沿线30多个国家招收留学生。

JSUT vigorously implements strategy of internationalized development, actively absorbing advanced international educational thoughts, standards and resources. It highlights characteristics of international cooperation and exchange by focusing on the implementation of Sino-German cooperation program and successively establishing cooperation relationship with over 60 universities from Germany, United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Ukraine, Israel, Kazakhstan, Macao and Taiwan. Now JSUT enroll international students from over 30 ‘Belt and Road’ countries such as Russia, Morocco, South Africa, Indonesia and etc.

江苏理工学院国际教育学院具体负责外国留学生的招生、管理和培养工作，下设留学生管理办公室，配备专职留学生辅导员，精心管理，竭诚服务，热情帮助，2次荣获江苏省来华留学生教育先进集体。近年来，学校加大留学生教育软硬件建设，建有设施齐全、功能完备的留学生教学楼和公寓楼，着力为留学生创造优美的学习和生活环境。学校面向留学生需求调整专业设置，配强教学师资，完善课程体系，不断提升留学生培养质量。获批省级外国留学生英文授课精品课程1门，留学生在全国大学生英语演讲比赛、江苏省中华经典诵读大赛中多次获奖。

School of International Education of JSUT is specifically responsible for the enrollment, management, and education of international students. It has an International Student Management Office with full-time international student counselor to provide careful management, dedicated service and enthusiastic help, and has been awarded the Jiangsu Advanced Group for Education of International Students in China twice.In recent years, JSUT has increased the construction of software and hardware for international student’s education, and has built a well-equipped and full-functioning international student teaching building and apartment building, focusing on creating a beautiful studying and living environment for international students. Based on the needs of international students, the university adjusts major settings, equips with good teachers, improves curriculum system to continuously improves the quality of international students. One provincial-level Excellent English-speaking Course For Foreign Students has been approved. Foreign students have won many awards in the National College Students' English Speech Contest and the Chinese Classical Recital Contest in Jiangsu Province.

二、招生类别Programs for International Students

全日制本科生，专业学制4年（“专转本”项目学制2年）。学生修完所有课程并通过考试后，可获得本科毕业证书；符合学士学位授予条件者，可申请授予学士学位。

JSUT enrolls full-time undergraduates with 4-year major study (“Upgrading to Undergraduate”with 2-year major study). Students will be conferred undergraduate graduation certificate upon completing all the courses and passing exams; Those meeting relevant requirements for the degree can apply for Bachelor’s Degree.

1.英语授课专业Majors Taught in English

非英语国家学生需提供托福或雅思成绩证明，需雅思5.5分或托福笔试70分以上及相当水平。

Students of Non-English speaking countries should provide TOEFL or IELTS scores. IELTS is 5.5 (or above) or IBT is 70 (or above), or equivalent level.

2.汉语授课专业Majors Taught in Chinese

学生进入专业学习的中文能力须达到国际汉语能力标准（HSK）四级及以上，无汉语基础或汉语达不到专业学习要求的学生入学后需先进行汉语学习。

Students should pass HSK 4 or above and then can start major study. Students who never learned Chinese or do not meet the Chinese proficiency requirement of certain major should learn Chinese fist after entrance.

3.“专转本”项目（汉语授课）“Upgrading to Undergraduate” Program (taught in Chinese)

该项目为我校与高职院校联合开展，选拔优秀专科留学生转入我校本科专业学习（以下简称“专转本”）。项目采用“3+2”模式，即3年专科阶段学习合格后，进入我校进行2年本科学习。学生学习期满，各科成绩合格，可获得本科毕业证书；符合学校学位授予条件的，可获得学士学位证书。详细信息可查阅《江苏理工学院2023年“专转本”留学生招生简章》。

This program is jointly developed by our school and higher vocational colleges, and selected outstanding international college students to transfer to our university for undergraduate studies. The program adopts “3+2” mode, that is after passing the 3-year college-level study, the student enters our university for 2-year undergraduate study. Students who have completed the study and passed all subjects will receive a undergraduate diploma; those who meet the requirements for degree awards will receive a bachelor's degree certificate. 4.语言预科项目Language Preparatory Program.

学习时间一般为1年。培养留学生在汉语学习方面听说读写等各项能力与水平，提高留学生跨文化沟通能力。

The study time is usually 1 year. The aim is to cultivate foreign students' abilities and levels in Chinese learning, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing, and improve their cross-cultural communication skills.

三、申请资格Application requirements

1.非中国籍公民，持有有效外国护照，对华友好，无犯罪记录；

Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens, hold valid foreign passports, friendly to China and without criminal records;

2.身体健康，符合教育部颁布的《外国来华留学生健康检查标准》；

Should be in good health condition based on the Foreign Students Physical Examination Standards by the Ministry of Education;

3.遵守中国的法律法规和学校的规章制度，尊重中国人民的风俗习惯；

Abide by the law in China and regulations of the university, and respect Chinese customs and habits;

4.具有高中及以上（相当于中学六年级文化水平）文化程度，成绩良好；

Graduate from senior high schools or above (equals to six-grade of middle school) and get good grades;

5.具有良好的英语或中文水平；

Have good English or Chinese proficiency level;

6.年龄一般不低于18周岁、不超过25周岁；

Generally should be over 18-year old and under 25-year-old;

7.被录取学生须持有X1签证入境；

Should enter China with X1 Visa;

8.修读经管类及理工类专业学生须有一定的数学基础，修读艺术类专业学生须具有一定的美术基础。

Applicants who study economics and engineering majors are required to have mathematical basis and those who study art majors are required to have basic art skills.

六、入学申请流程Application process

第一步：申请学生在2023年7月30日前提交以下材料及支付500元报名费：

Step one: Before July30, 2023, submit the following materials and pay the application fee of 500 yuan;

1.江苏理工学院外国留学生入学申请表（word版及PDF版）；

Application Form for International Student of JSUT (word and PDF);

2.高中毕业证书及高中阶段成绩单（均须加盖公章）；

High school diploma and transcripts (all must be stamped with official seal);

3.护照个人信息页；

Passport personal information page;

4.《外国人体格检查表》，由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制，须以英文填写，缺项未检、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的检查表无效；

Foreigner Physical Examination Form uniformly printed by the Chinese health and quarantine department and must be completed in English. The will be invalid if has incomplete records, without sealed photo of the applicant or without the signature and seal of the physician and the hospital;

5.白底近期免冠证件照（电子版）；

Passport photos with white background (digital one);

6.无犯罪记录证明；

Non-criminal record;

7.银行存款证明（至少5000美元）；

Bank certificate of deposit (at least 5,000 USD);

8.语言能力证明文件：非英语国家学生申请英语授课专业的，须提供英语水平考试成绩；申请插班学习的，须提供国际汉语能力标准（HSK）四级或以上成绩报告；

Language proficiency proof documents: students from non-English speaking countries who apply English-taught major should provide English Proficiency Test Scores; students who apply to enter Chinese students first-grade class should provide HSK 4 or above certificate;

9.监护人委托书，未满18周岁申请者提供，委托书须公证；

Letter of Entrustment from parents or guardian. International students under 18 years old should provide it. The Letter of Entrustment must be notarized;

10.所在学校出具的学习及日常表现证明（中国境内其它学校转入的申请学

生须提供）；

Certificate of study and daily performance from your school. Students applying for transfer from other schools in China must provide;

11.所在国大学入学考试成绩单（如有）；

University entrance examination transcripts (if any);

12.最近一次的来华签证或在华居留许可（如有），如隐瞒在华经历，影响入学报到注册，责任自负。

The latest visa to China or residence permit in China (if any). If you conceal your experience in China, which will affect the admission and registration and shall bear responsibility by yourselves.

第二步：材料审核，视频面试或电话面试。

Step two: Material review, video interview or telephone interview.

第三步：查看录取状态，合格者发放预录取通知书。

Step three: Check admission status, qualified applicants will issue Letter of Pre-admission.

第四步：在两周内预交住宿费3000元，发送汇款收据扫描件并注明姓名、护照号至admission@jsut.edu.cn。

Step four: Pay 3000 yuan in advance for accommodation within two weeks. Send the scanned copy of the remittance receipt indicating your name and passport number to admission@jsut.edu.cn.

第五步：寄送录取通知书、来华签证申请表JW202、报到须知等原件，请注意查收。

Step five: Send the original admission notice, JW202 visa application form, and registration instructions, etc. Please check and accept.

第六步：收到材料后到中国驻外使领馆申请学习签证（X1签证），准备入境，并将到校行程告知学校。

Step six: When receiving the materials, go to Chinese embassy or consulate abroad to apply for study visa (X1 visa). Prepare to enter China and inform JUSTthe itinerary.

第七步：按《江苏理工学院录取通知书》规定时间来校报到。

Step seven: Admitted students come to JSUT and register within the designated time inLetter of Admission.

第八步：查验申请材料原件，办理报到手续。

Step eight: Check the original application materials and complete the registration procedures.

说明 Special Note：

1.在报到时如不能提供上述材料原件或经学校审核认定材料弄虚作假者，取消其入学资格；

Anyone fails to provide the above materials when registration or the materials are found to be falsified, then the opportunity of admission will be cancelled;

2.若申请材料的原件为中文或英文以外语种文本，须附正规翻译机构出具的中文或英文翻译件。

If the original application material is in a language other than Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation from an official translation agency must be attached.

七、奖学金Scholarship

1.留学江苏政府奖学金Jiangsu Government Scholarship

江苏省人民政府设有“留学江苏省政府奖学金”，主要用于奖励从境外申请到江苏高等学校接受学历教育的外籍优秀学生。具体政策按照江苏省相关文件规定执行，详情可登录http://www.studyinjiangsu.org了解。

Jiangsu Provincial Government establishes “Jiangsu Government Scholarship” for excellent international students who apply to undertake degree education in Jiangsu universities and colleges from overseas. Specific policies shall be implemented according to related rules and regulations of Jiangsu province and JSUT. More details may find at http://www.studyinjiangsu.org.

2.江苏理工学院高水平语言新生奖学金JSUT Scholarship for Advanced Language Freshman

主要用于奖励申请到江苏理工学院接受学历教育的英语或中文成绩优秀的新生，在入学学年一次性发放。其中申请英文授课的，须雅思6.5分或托福笔试85分以上；申请中文授课的，须《国际汉语能力标准》（HSK）五级及以上。具体金额为：2000元/人。

It is mainly used to reward freshmen who have excellent scores in English or Chinese for academic education at JJSUT. Students will be issued once in the first school year. Among them, those who apply for majors taught in English must have IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL written test of 85 or above; those who apply for majors taught in Chinese must have HSK 5 or above. The specific amount is ¥2,000 yuan/ person.

3.江苏理工学院外国留学生优秀新生学业奖学金JSUT Academic Scholarship for Outstanding International Freshmen

主要用于奖励申请到江苏理工学院接受学历教育学业成绩优秀的新生，金额为3000元。此项奖学金将根据申请学生学业成绩评定，在入学第一学年根据综合表现逐月发放。获奖面不超过申请学生的30%。

It is mainly used to reward freshmen who apply for undergraduate education in JSUT with excellent academic performance, with an amount of 3000 yuan. The scholarship will be awarded monthly according to the overall performance of the students in the first academic year. The number of scholarship winners shall not exceed 30% of the total number of applicants.

4.江苏理工学院留学生院长奖学金JSUT President Scholarship for International Students

专业学习期间，通过合作机构、院校推荐的学生以及其他优秀高中毕业生均可申请我校提供的“江苏理工学院留学生院长奖学金”。具体金额为：文史类专业9000元/学年，理工科类专业10000元/学年，艺术类专业11000元/学年。学校将根据其在校学习成绩及综合表现进行学年综合考评，并按照相关规定评定下一学年院长奖学金金额。

During the period of major study, students recruited through collaborative partners or recommended by cooperative institutions and universities and other excellent senior school graduates can apply for President Scholarship for International Students in JUST: Majors of arts and history: ¥9,000yuan/academic year; Majors of science and engineering: ¥ 10,000yuan/academic year; Art majors:¥ 11,000 yuan/academic year.

After the end of the first academic year, the school will conduct a comprehensive evaluation according to the students' academic performance and overall performance. The amount of this scholarship to this student in the next academic year will be assessed in accordance with the relevant regulations.

5.江苏理工学院优秀留学生奖学金JSUT Scholarship for Excellent International Students

专业学习期间，每学年设立“江苏理工学院优秀留学生奖学金”，以鼓励留学生刻苦学习、奋发向上、追求卓越。金额为1000元—7000元不等，具体参照《江苏理工学院外国留学生奖学金评定办法》评定。

During the period of students’ major study, JSUT provides students with Scholarship for Excellent International Students in JSUT from the second academic year to encourage them to study harder, to make them rise and to strive for excellence so that their creative spirit and practical ability could be stimulated and cultivated.The amount ranges from 1000 to 7000 yuan. It will be assessed with reference to the measures for the JSUT Evaluation of Scholarship for Foreign students.
